Police Searching For Clark County Family

Posted: 5:17 pm PDT September 14, 2007Updated: 5:32 pm PDT September 14, 2007

Police said two parents fled Clark County on Sept. 7 with their four minor children who had previously been placed in the state's custody due to a pending sexual assault case in which their father was charged with numerous counts of rape of a child.

Authorities said a felony warrant has been issued for Jeff Spady for those charges.

Authorities said the children's mother, Kim Spady , is not allowed to have custody of the children due to a court order. Investigators said the children were last seen getting into their mother's dark blue 2001 Ford Expedition, WA license 146 RKK, and have not been seen since.

Police said that information received from the Spady family members suggests the two may have acquired a possibly '90s model 20-foot camper or trailer that is white with orange stripes. They might be traveling to Canada, and family members might be assisting them in concealing the children, said authorities.

Police said family members described Jeff Spady as a “survivalist" who is knowledgeable regarding camping, fishing and outdoor activities and is known to own numerous firearms including high-powered but police said it is not know if Spady is carrying guns at this time.

Police said that with information should contact Detective Elizabeth Luvera, Clark County Sheriff's Office, (360) 397-2108 or after hours dispatch at (360) 696-4461
