Three people were arrested for investigation of shooting blow darts at people in several drive-by attacks in Chehalis.

“If that would have gone in somebody’s chest I would have hated to see what happened, or in their head. Ugh,” Chief Glenn Schaffler with the Chehalis Police Department said.

Residents in Chehalis were shocked to hear that three suspects were using blowguns to shoot extremely sharp five-inch-long darts at people.

“It is dangerous. It’s a very stupid thing to do,” one resident said.

According to police, one dart penetrated nearly three inches into the leg of a 13-year-old girl.

Police said a 32-year-old man was also injured and a dart was found sticking into a metal street sign.

Victims' descriptions of a red car led police to 18-year-old Travis Lovito and two other teenage boys.

All three were arrested for investigation of second-degree assault.
