Lakewood Considers Allowing Deer Hunt

Posted: 3:49 pm PDT October 16, 2007Updated: 3:53 pm PDT October 16, 2007

The Lakewood City Council is considering a plan to let people hunt deer with bows and arrows.

The deer hunt would be a way to reduce damage deer are doing to yards and gardens.

It would be the first city in our area to try such a solution to deal with deer.

Neighbors told the City Council that if the deer population keeps growing, a cougar will likely move in, too.
