Seattle Fire Department spokesman Helen Fitzpatrick said two people were found dead in a Seattle apartment Friday afternoon.

The manager of the apartment said he found the bodies of a man and a woman lying face-down in their third-floor apartment after he heard the couple’s dog barking for an extended period of time, reported KIRO.

Police said the bodies were found in the apartment’s kitchen at about 2:30 p.m.

Authorities said the man was 36 years old and the woman was 28 years old.

Neighbors told KIRO the couple were recently married and took wedding pictures at the front doorstep of the building.

The bodies were found in the Frye Apartments in Seattle's Pioneer Square Neighborhood on Yesler Way.

An investigation by Seattle police is in progress.
