A 15-year-old girl is facing serious charges, accused of leading police on a dangerous ride early Thursday, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Troopers said the girl was driving without a license, rammed a police car and then tried to elude officers two times.

Troopers said the incident began near Lake City in King County when a trooper saw her driving erratically on Interstate 5 and attempted to stop her. Instead of pulling over, police said the girl took the Lake City Way off-ramp and then crashed as she exited the freeway.

A trooper said when he tried to stop her from leaving and take her into custody, she rammed his patrol car, drove the wrong way onto I-5, made a U-turn and then headed north at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses called 911 and troopers in Snohomish County eventually caught up with the girl as she exited I-5 at 164th Street in Lynnwood where she lost control of the car, crossed all lanes of traffic and hit a Jersey barrier.

Video from KIRO 7 Eyewitness News crews showed the girl spitting and cursing at police and then breaking out the window of the patrol car she was in with her feet. Police said she was so combative she had to be restrained.

Authorities said they suspect the girl had been drinking and seemed unconcerned for her safety or the safety of others.

The girl could face charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence and malicious mischief.
