Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Teen’s Death

POSTED: 10:27 am PST December 27, 2007

A drunken driving suspect in a deadly crash in Pierce County was charged with vehicular homicide Wednesday, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

The crash that killed 18-year-old Peter Pung happened on Christmas Even near Parkland.

Prosecutors said the drunken driving suspect, 26-year old Aaron Bell, was so intoxicated at the crash scene that he couldn't talk.

Police said Bell was speeding when he ran a stop sign on Golden Given Road and broadsided Pung's car.

Flowers and teddy bears have been placed at the scene to honor the teen.

Pung was finishing up high school and had hoped to become an auto mechanic or stand-up comedian.
