Police Searching For Man Involved In Restaurant Shooting

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for 23-year-old Rey Alberto Davis-Bell who police say may be connected to a shooting that injured two people at a Central Area restaurant late Wednesday morning. Police said the victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Davis-Bell is described as a black man about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He drives a black 2002 Lincoln Continental with tinted windows and chrome rims with license plate number 210XMJ, police said. He was wearing a black puffy jacket.Police warn that Davis-Bell is heavily armed and extremely dangerous and if anybody sees him they should call police immediately but not approach him.Police asked witnesses to come forward.Witnesses reported the shooting at about 11:15 a.m. at the Philadelphia Cheese Steak Restaurant at 23rd Avenue and East Union Street.KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Rick Price said dozens of Seattle police officers combed the area.Witnesses told him it appeared one person was shot inside the restaurant. The other victim may have been shot outside.Chopper 7 video showed fire units, medic units and at least a dozen patrol cars at the scene. Medic units took the victims to Harborview Medical Center.Police said they believe a shooting in West Seattle earlier in the day may be connected.Streets in the area are closed to traffic. Only buses were being allowed through, Price said.In 2003, the owner of the Philadelphia Cheese Steak Restaurant was fatally shot about nine blocks away.Troy Hackett, 33, was driving his black Lexus near the intersection of 20th Avenue East and East Fir Street on July 30, 2003, when someone opened fire. Neighbors heard gunshots and ran outside to see the car hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
