Posted: 12:29 pm PST February 14, 2008

Puyallup Police arrested two men who reportedly are involved in the numerous thefts that have occurred at Bally Total Fitness since September 2007, according to Olympia Detective Russ Gies.

Police reported that the men used a Bally's membership card to enter the club, located at 200 Sleater-Kinney Road N.E., where they proceeded to enter the locker rooms and remove the padlocks on lockers to steal the victims’ wallets.

The robbers immediately used the credit cards from the victims to purchase merchandise from local stores. They would then sell it on Craigslist, said the Olympia Police Department.

Gies said he interviewed the suspects where they confessed to numerous thefts along the Interstate 5 corridor.
