TACOMA, Wash. -- According to a gas station employee, a man came running into the gas station late Sunday night wounded and pointing to a car outside.

The man who only spoke Spanish led witnesses to the car where a woman was inside with a gunshot wound to the head.

The woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the man was rushed to Tacoma General Hospital.

According to police, they have not been able to piece together exactly what happened, but they believe an argument began and the two were shot by another person who fled.

Police said they believe the couple had been with several people at the time of the shooting but are still uncertain on a motive.

Detectives are continuing to speak with the wounded man but he continues to tell investigators multiple versions of what happened.
