FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Late Tuesday afternoon search dogs were launched in Federal Way where Nicholas Francisco’s car was found after his disappearance last week.Francisco disappeared Feb. 13 after leaving work in Seattle’s Queen Ann neighborhood heading toward his home in Seatac.According to his wife, Francisco spoke to her on the evening of Feb. 13 and told her he was headed home but was going to stop off to “sign off on something” before arriving home.Francisco’s car was located in the parking lot of a condominium complex Monday afternoon in Federal Way, but there was no sign of him.Search dogs were brought out in hopes of catching a glimpse of Francisco’s scent.“What we’d like to do is use the search dogs in an attempt to link the car up with a specific unit in the complex,” Detective Jon Holland with the King County Sheriff’s Office said.Francisco’s mother Rosann, came to the parking lot where the car was found Tuesday and told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News she wanted to see the area.“I found out that they were going to have the search dogs out today and I didn’t know anything about the area, and they’re just driving me by to see the location,” Rosann Francisco said.Detectives were not certain that Francisco was in the parking lot with his car but are searching regardless.“I’ve only been praying that if someone is persecuting my son, I pray for their heart to be softened so that my son can be brought back to us safely,” Rosann Francisco said. After searching in Federal Way the dogs were brought to Francisco's workplace in Queen Anne.
