Bones Found Near Pike Place Market Are Not Human

SEATTLE -- Police say bones found under a building near the Pike Place Market are from an animal.Bones and shells were found during a remodeling project at the Virginia Inn Tuesday.Members of Seattle's Duwamish tribe gathered at the corner of First and Virginia Wednesday morning -- when it was believed the bones were human -- to honor the remains they thought were one of their ancestors.Police later said the bones may be from a cat or other small animal.
