Groper May Have Struck Again

A man knocked down a woman and tried to grab her on Monday in the latest in a series of attacks in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood, police said.

Police said an Asian woman in her 50s was walking home at about 2:20 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Webster Street when a man came up behind her, pushed her to the ground and tried to grope her.

The woman screamed and fought back, police said.

A neighbor who heard the scream went outside and saw the man, who got into a parked sport utility vehicle and drove away.

The four-door SUV, similar to a Jeep Cherokee, is light brown or beige.

The attacker is black, 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a green jacket.

Police said they believe it's the same man who has attacked about two dozen other Asian women in the neighborhood.

They asked anyone with information to call the Seattle Police Department's sexual assault unit at 206-684-5575.
