3 Teens In Custody In Fatal Lakewood Shooting

TACOMA, Wash. -- Three teenagers are accused of taking part in a home invasion robbery that ended in the shooting death of a man on Tuesday.Javon Holden, 20, was shot to death during an early-morning robbery at his home in Lakewood. Two of the suspects were in court in Pierce County on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to murder charges.Christopher Holt, 17, came to court in a wheelchair after being bitten by a Lakewood police dog while allegedly trying to avoid arrest. He was arrested shortly after the robbery.James Ellis, 18, was found by way of his cell phone when police were able to trace his calls and pinpoint his location, police said. He was arrested Tuesday night.Lakewood Police Sgt. Mike Zaro said the motivation of the shooting was robbery.According to investigators, the suspects killed Holden when he put up a fight during the incident. A third suspect, identified in a warrant as 19-year-old Nathan Dysert, surrendered to detectives at Lakewood police headquarters Wednesday. He is expected to be charged with murder.Ellis' bail is set at $2 million and Holt is being held on $1 million bail.
