Police Chase Ends In Crash In Fremont

Police pursued a speeding SUV from Shoreline to Fremont, where the vehicle crashed early Monday morning.

Seattle police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that officers stopped the SUV in Shoreline just before 3 a.m.

The driver, a woman, then took off, leading police on a pursuit that ended up in Fremont.

Police said that the woman, who may have been drinking, crashed the SUV at 3rd Avenue Northwest and Leary Way Northwest.

The woman managed to flee the scene. Police found her a few blocks away at about 4:30 a.m.
