Man Sought In Tacoma Minimart Attack Caught On Camera

Police are looking for a gunman who pistol-whipped a convenience store clerk during a robbery on Sunday.

The man, armed with a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, entered the Pearl Street Deli, demanded cash and struck a clerk on the head with the gun several times.

The clerk suffered cuts to his face and head, but was not hospitalized.

A police dog following a scent to an apartment complex behind the minimart, but the robber was not found.

The man is Samoan, has a pony tail and is about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He’s in his 20s or 30s.

Crimestoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information in the case. The group’s phone number is at 253-591‑5959.
