Collin was arrested in Chicago last July.

Detectives said they believe Collins called Far West Taxi at about 2:30 a.m. on July 10 and had a cab sent to the area where he was living with his parents and siblings at 3840 South 177th.

The driver was shot twice in the head when he arrived, and the taxi set on fire.

Detectives found clothing with burn marks at the house, including a partially burned shirt that belonged to Collins.

The motive was the most likely robbery, deputies said.
