Fire, Aid Units Respond To Large Apartment Fire In Everett

EVERETT, Wash. -- Firefighter put out a massive fire that broke out at an Everett apartment complex.The call went out around 4:20 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 400 block of 85th Place Southwest in Everett.Residents told firefighters that a person was trapped on the third floor, but that they climbed from balcony to balcony to get down. When firefighters arrived they said no one was trapped.Chopper 7 over the scene showed a lot of people were standing in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Several fire trucks and aid units responded to the scene.Firefighters could be seen on the roof pulling up tiles to ventilate the building and release heat and smoke.At least six apartments were damaged in the fire. The cause remains under investigation.No injuries have been reported to the residents or firefighters.
