TACOMA, Wash. -- Firefighters have pulled an injured man from a home on fire in Tacoma.

Neighbors tried to rescue the man, but they were turned back by locked doors and smoke coming from the home, said KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin McCarty.

Pictures McCarty shot show firefighters working on the man on the home's front lawn.

Photos show smoke coming from a window of the small gray home in the 800 block of South Oakes Street.

The condition of the man is not known.
