Man Arrested In Fatal Puyallup Crash

PUYALLUP, Wash. -- One person has been killed in a collision on state Route 167 in Puyallup.

Troopers said a car driven by a 27-year-old Spanaway man ran a red light at 66th Avenue East and broadsided another car driven by a 51-year-old man from Spanaway at about 1:45 a.m.

The 51-year-old man was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, where he was pronounced dead.

The 27-year-old man drove away, and witnesses followed him. Puyallup police and troopers arrested him, troopers said.
