SEATTLE -- Seattle police say the death of a man whose body was found in Seattle's View Ridge neighborhood is a homicide.

Police said they received a call from a citizen at 6:12 a.m. Thursday about a body of a man in the 6800 block of 51st Avenue Northeast.

Investigators verified that a person was dead and due to the nature of the man's death, asked that a homicide team come to the scene.

At this point investigators are trying to determine if the man was killed here or killed somewhere else and then dumped in the alley sometime overnight.

The victim is a Hispanic man in his 20s to 30s.

Seattle homicide detectives will continue to canvass the neighborhood to see if any residents heard or saw anything unusual.
