SEATTLE -- The ashes of Seattle grunge legend Kurt Cobain are missing from the Hollywood home of his widow Courtney Love, according to a British newspaper Web site.

Love told the Guardian newspaper she was horrified to discover the ashes -- kept in a pink teddy-bear-shaped bag with a lock of his hair -- were stolen along with clothes and jewelry.

"I find it disgusting and right now I'm suicidal," she told the newspaper.

A representative of the Los Angeles Police Department said she could not find any police report about the matter.

Most of the ashes of Cobain, the lead singer and songwriter for Nirvana, were scattered at a New York Buddhist temple and in the Wishkah River near Aberdeen, where he grew up. He killed himself in the couple's Madison Park home in 1994.
