Police Looking For 7 People Involved In Fatal Belltown Beating

Posted: 12:43 pm PDT June 21, 2008Updated: 2:12 pm PDT June 21, 2008

It's been a month since a fatal beating in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood and so far police have not been able to find any of the seven people involved.

Vance Saint Clair, 51, lived for 13 days after he was attacked by a gang of six men and one woman on May 20 in the 2000 block of Third Avenue, said Seattle police.

Saint Clair died from his injuries on June 2.

One neighbor said he doesn't know why anybody would have attacked Saint Clair.

"I've seen him in the area and he tended to mind his own business when I've seen him," said Leon Richardson.

It’s the third known attack in the neighborhood since early May. Police told KIRO-7 that this is still an open investigation.
