Don't Call 911 To Report Fireworks In Seattle And Tacoma

SEATTLE, Wash. -- In Seattle and Tacoma, police and fire departments ask citizens not to call 911 to report fireworks.Both cities have special numbers for reporting fireworks.In Seattle, the number to call is 206-625-5011.In Tacoma, the number to call is 253-798-4722.Police said that by calling 911 to report fireworks, the 911 centers become overloaded with non-emergency calls.
