SEATTLE -- A brand new Sound Transit train parked next to Interstate 5 at Tukwila to show off to the public for next year's grand opening of a light-rail system has been hit by graffiti taggers. The train was parked on an elevated guideway near the southbound freeway lanes just north of exits to SouthCenter and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where 131,000 vehicles pass each weekday in the southbound direction alone.Sound Transit had figured it had picked a safe spot for the train because it was sitting in an elevated spot that would be hard to reach, but vandals were able to get to it.The train has since been moved to the agency's maintenance facility south of downtown Seattle, where it is expected to be cleaned up Monday.Light rail service is scheduled to begin from downtown to Tukwila next July and to the airport by the end of 2009.
