Man Hurt In Fire At Scrap Metal Yard

GORST, Wash. -- Fire crews put out a blaze that erupted at a scrap metal yard in Gorst Monday afternoon and injured a 40-year-old man.Video from Chopper 7 showed fire crews spraying water and foam at Navy City Metals and a portion of a building appeared to be scorched.Doug Richards from South Kitsap Fire said the man suffered second degree burns to his arm and first-degree burns to his face. The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.The yard is located at the junction of Highway 3 and Highway 16 in Kitsap County.Investigators said the incident was some type of fuel fire but they don't yet know what sparked it.
