SEATTLE -- Firefighters responded to a downtown high-rise Tuesday afternoon to rescue a man who was knocked off a ladder by a descending elevator.

The man was six feet up the ladder when the elevator hit it and he fell, firefighters said.

Fire engines and ladder trucks lined the street outside Park Place, a 21-story building, video from Chopper 7 showed.
