BOTHELL, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol Troopers told KIRO TV News Saturday that a five-car crash on I-405 started with a teenaged driver going the wrong way.The crash happened just after midnight in the northbound lanes of the freeway near North 195th Street.Troopers said a 17-year-old was girl was driving a 1996 Toyota Carolla southbound in the northbound HOV lane when she plowed into a BMW. That caused a chain reaction crash when the BMW was forced into a Honda Accord and debris from the crash hit two other cars.Three people were hurt, including the teenager, who was treated and then booked into juvenile detention.A preliminary report from the WSP indicates that alcohol might have played a role in the crash.
