A novelty store that is a longtime Seattle institution is being forced to move out of its location in the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle.

Archie McPhee is losing its lease because the property owners are selling the land.

Ballard has been the home to the store for the past 10 years, and shop has been a Seattle favorite for 25 years.

The store sells such unique items as bacon-flavored dental floss and remote control zombies along with traditional gag gifts like rubber chickens and punching nun puppets.

Gerry Jones, a loyal customer for 24 years, said she brought her friends from Orlando, Fla., to the store as a tourist attraction and said she is sad that the store is moving.

The store's owners said they are looking for a new location in Seattle but said so far they haven't found anything they could afford in Ballard.

The owners promise a new eclectic shop once they move and said they have a few prospects for where they might relocate.

The lease ends at the end of the year.

The land owners said they have yet to decide what will happen to the property.
