Possible Child Abduction In South Seattle

A 10-year-old girl reported that a man grabbed her while she was waiting for the bus Thursday morning, said Seattle police.

The victim told police she was waiting for her bus around 8 a.m. near 65th Avenue South and South Ryan Street in Seattle when a man came up behind her and grabbed her, Seattle police said.

The girl was able to break free and run away. She was not injured.

When she arrived at school, she reported what happened and police responded to the school to interview her.

Police searched the area and interviewed citizens, but no one could confirm the victim’s report of the incident, police said.

The man is described as a white or Asian male in his 30s or 40s, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, bald, but with dark hair on the side of his head. He was wearing glasses and wearing a maroon shirt.
