Suspect Arrested In Transit Center Stabbing

Police have arrested the suspect accused of stabbing another man at the Federal Way Transit Center on Sept. 30, said Commander Stan McCall of the Federal Way Police Department.The 19-year-old suspect was arrested after he was spotted at the transit center Thursday morning by two King County Metro Transit police deputies. The man was wearing the same clothes and carrying the same backpack as seen in bus surveillance video, McCall said.When deputies approached the man he was not cooperative. The suspect had active warrants for his arrest and has a criminal history which includes assaultive behavior, McCall said.A concealed knife was found on the suspect, McCall said.Police have been looking for the suspect after he and another man got into a fight on a Metro bus. The two men stepped off the bus and shortly after police said the suspect then stabbed the other man.The victim was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries.The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
