Two young men who a witness said jumped in front of a car were struck and injured in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police and firefighters said.

One of the teens was conscious and one was unconscious, fire department officials told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. Both teens were transported to Harborview Medical Center.

The young men were struck just after 4 p.m. at North 85th Street west of Greenwood Avenue North.

A witness told KIRO 7 reporter Deborah Horne that the two teens had just gotten something to eat when they ran in the middle of 85th Street, rushing to the bus stop.

The teens were hit by a car traveling westbound.

Chopper 7 video showed a black car on 85th Street west of Greenwood, fire and medic units.

The driver of the vehicle is being questioned, but will unlikely face any charges, said Seattle police.

Police blocked off 85th Avenue North while they investigated the scene.
