1 Killed, 3 Injured In SR-512 Collision In Puyallup

PUYALLUP, Wash. -- One person has died and three others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of state Route 512 at Meridian in Puyallup, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Brandy Kessler.The accident happened shortly after 12 p.m. Monday.Witnesses said an Acura MDX was traveling eastbound on SR-512 when it crossed the median and hit a Toyota pickup truck, traveling westbound, head-on.The 23-year-old female driver of the Acura was killed, Kessler said.The driver of the pickup was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in serious condition. A 4-year-old in the pickup was transported to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma in serious or critical condition, Kessler said.The driver of a semi truck, which jackknifed when hit by the cars involved, was transported to Good Samaritan in Puyallup with minor injuries.Chopper 7 over the scene showed several police and aid cars at the scene.
