"The father of the female called the friend from India, having not spoken to his daughter for a couple days, and asked the friend to go in and check on her and when the friend went in, found her dead," Jim Bove of Redmond police.

Police said she called 911 after she found the woman’s body on a bedroom floor and her apartment was in disarray.

Police responded at the Valley View Apartments in the 8900 block of Redmond-Woodinville Road but did not enter the apartment until about 1 p.m. when crime scene investigators arrived.

Police said the woman appeared to be in her mid-20s.

Michelle Jakubec said she just met the woman Friday night at a Halloween party.

"It's shocking. I mean I just saw her Friday night. I met her for the first time and then to hear this," Jakubec said.

The manner of her death or when she died has not been determined.
