An Alaska Airlines flight bound for Ketchikan and Juneau, Alaska, returned to Seattle after a passenger reportedly made domestic violence threats against a woman and her infant.

Port of Seattle spokesman Perry Cooper said nearby passengers on Flight 69 reported "threats being made" Monday night in a dispute between a male and female traveling with an infant.

The flight turned around about 30 minutes after it left Seattle. Cooper said Port of Seattle police arrested the man for investigation of domestic violence.

Cooper said that the woman and presumably the child also left the plane, which then refueled and resumed its trip.

Cooper said port police were in the midst of booking the man late Monday night. The man was not immediately identified.
