Lakewood police said a 2-month-old girl died after spending the night in a car with her mother and father.

Lt. Heidi Hoffman said the 31-year-old father and 27-year-old mother were sleeping in a car in a relative's driveway in the 000 block of Lake Louise Drive. When they woke up Wednesday morning, their baby daughter was not responsive, Hoffman said.

The parents drove the girl to St. Clare hospital in Lakewood where the baby was pronounced dead.

Officials Wednesday afternoon identified the child as Jessica Lopez Lewis, said KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin McCarty.

An autopsy was completed on the baby Wednesday afternoon and the examiner said the cause of death could not yet be determined.

Police are interviewing the parents.
