Suspect Wanted In Double Fatal Collision

SEATTLE -- The Washington State Patrol is looking for a Renton man suspected of causing a head-on collision that killed two people in Pierce County last week, said the WSP.A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 31-year-old Scott M. Buskeness.Troopers said they believe Buskeness was driving a 1998 Honda Civic north on state Route 7 at 146th Street East at about 1:45 a.m. Dec. 8 when he crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a 1993 Dodge Colt head-on.Buskeness collided with the car driven by 34-year-old Richard Pennington of Lakewood. Jaime Rainford, 34, of Roy was a passenger in the car, WSP said.Both Pennington and Rainford suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, where they both later died.A third passenger in the Dodge, 36-year-old Michelle Tuskey of Eatonville, sustained critical injuries and was transported To Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.Buskeness suffered injuries from the collision and was transported to Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma.Troopers at the scene said they saw signs that Buskeness may have been intoxicated when the accident happened. He was transported to the hospital.After their investigation, detectives submitted charges of two counts of vehicular homicide again Buskeness.When the charges were submitted, Buskeness had already been released from Madigan and his current location is unknown.Anyone with information on Buskeness is asked to contact Trooper J.J.
