Armored Car Robbed In Burien

SEATTLE -- A man driving an armored van was robbed when a man snatched a bag of cash and fled, said Jim Lange of the King County Sheriff’s Office.At about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, an armored van pulled in to a Burien 7-11 to retrieve cash from an ATM at the store, Lange said.When the employee came out, he attempted to place the cash in the van, but the robber came up behind him and grabbed the bag, Lange said.Police said they believe the robber ran to a parked car a few blocks away and took off.The victim’s finger was injured.The robber did not display any weapons, and no words were exchanged.It’s unknown how much money was stolen.
