Thurston Grocery Robber Caught On Camera

Posted: 11:12 am PST February 17, 2009Updated: 7:41 am PST February 18, 2009

A man who robbed a Thurston County grocery clerk early Tuesday was photographed from multiple angles by surveillance cameras.

Police said the man approached the counter at the Nisqually Valley Grocery store with some beer, asked for lottery tickets and then pulled a gun on the clerk.

The robber ordered the clerk to give him money, which he scooped up from the counter and then fled.

The clerk told police she thought she saw tape on the end of the gun barrel. Police said the tape could have been an attempt to conceal an orange tip which is used on Airsoft or BB pistols.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
