1 Killed In Tacoma House Fire

TACOMA, Wash -- One of the three people rescued from a burning home has died of her injuries at Tacoma General Hospital, KIRO 7's partner the Tacoma News Tribune said.Fire crews found flames and thick smoke coming from the basement of the home at 1315 S. Eighth St. in the downtown Tacoma area at about 6 a.m.Firefighters spotted two adults trapped on the second floor and got them out using a ladder. The two people who were rescued said there was another person in the house.Deputy Chief Jolene Davis said firefighters had to knock back flames to enter the building to find the injured woman on the second floor.That victim later died at the hospital.
