Fremont Troll Tagged, Cleaned Up

Posted: 9:29 am PDT March 30, 2009Updated: 3:16 pm PDT March 30, 2009

Someone vandalized the Fremont Troll, spraying graffiti on its eye, mouth, arms and fingers, the Fremont Universe blog reported.

Volunteers have put fresh concrete over the damage because the paint can't be removed.

The Troll, an 18-foot-tall, two-ton concrete sculpture clutching a Volkswagen Beetle under the north end of the Aurora Bridge, was commissioned in 1989 by the Fremont Arts Council.
