Crews Battle Fire Near Mount Baker Highway

Firefighters are battling a fire near Maple Falls on the Mount Baker Highway.

The fire burned 60 acres and was 20 percent contained Friday morning, officials told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

No one has been hurt and no homes are threatened, a Department of Natural Resources representative told The Bellingham Herald.

Chopper 7 video showed a helicopter dropping water on fire burning on a steep slope.
