An Amber Alert is cancelled for a 14-day-old boy.

Joshua Pier was missing from Tonasket, Wash. since about 2 p.m. Monday.

The Okanogan Sheriff's office told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Wednesday night that Joshua's mother, Gretchen Pier, turned herself in to Sedro-Woolley police.

Police believe she was visiting friends in the Skagit County town.

The toddler has a metabolic disorder that impairs his ability to process amino acids. It is considered an imminent threat to his health. He had an appointment at Seattle's University of Washington Medical Center earlier Wednesday. But when Joshua and his mother failed to show up for the appointment, police were alerted.

According to Sheriff's officers, Piers turned herself in Wednesday night. She was with the boy.

Joshua was brought to a nearby hospital for his condition to be checked out.

It's unknown Wednesday night whether the mother will face any charges.
