Phone Service Cut On Camano Island

CAMANO ISLAND, Wash. -- Land line telephone service was disrupted on Camano Island Friday.Authorities said construction being done on the Mark Clark Bridge resulted in the cutting of a fiber line.The outage means no 911 service is available. Fire officials said those who have an emergency should use a cell phone or go to the nearest fire station.Camano Island Fire and Rescue was advised that normal telephone service is expected to be restored by mid-afternoon Friday.
