Four Teens Injured In Lewis County Crash

Four Thurston county teenagers were injured when their car crashes in Lewis county late Saturday night.

The Washington State Patrol reported that the car the teens were in failed to negotiate a turn, spun around and left the road before crashing into a tree.

The patrol said the crash occured on Independence Road in Lewis County, about two miles from the county line with Thurston county around 10:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but the patrol said that the car was speeding just before the crash.

A 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. A 19-year-old man and 18-year-old man were transported to Providence Hospital in Centralia. None of the conditions of the injured are known.

The patrol said that it is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
