A SWAT team surrounded a home near Port Orchard as officers tried to arrest people with outstanding felony warrants, the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputy Scott Wilson told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News there were two wanted people who refused to come out of the house in the 4400 block of Sidney Road Southwest. Three others surrendered and were taken to jail.

At 1:42 p.m., the two wanted men came out of the house after police used tear gas.

Wilson said of the 10 people inside the home, five of them were jailed in connection with outstanding warrants and other crimes.

Police were in the process Monday afternoon of serving a search warrant because someone tossed a stolen semi-automatic gun out the home's window when police arrived.
