SeaTac Kids Attack Two Women With Pit Bull

The King County sheriff's office said four kids used a pit bull to attack two women in SeaTac.

Deputies arrested the 15-year-old girl and three boys -- 11, 12 and 13 years old.

The first woman saw the kids kicking the dog, Snaps, Sunday evening and stopped her car because she thought they needed help. The sheriff's office said the 15-year-old girl punched the woman with her fists while a boy brought the dog.

“One of the boys brought the pit bull over on a leash and the dog was encouraged to join in the fight, which the dog did, and bit this 63-year-old woman on the hand and on the thigh," said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Office.

As the group ran off they were followed by another woman. She was attacked by the 15-year-old girl and the dog, Urquhart said. The 41-year-old Seattle woman suffered serious bite wounds to her arms, head and face.

“Dog comes over again on the leash and is really encouraged to go after this woman and as this is going on, the dog gets more and more vicious. And this woman suffered several bite wounds, including ripping her flesh on her forearm, all the way down to the bone,” Urquhart said.

The dog’s owner, Edward Kennebrew, said his sister was walking the dog and that the dog attacked the two women to defend his sister. He said this isn’t the first time the dog has stepped in.

“One time I was fighting my stepdad and he came in and bit me on accident; he was trying to bite my stepdad,” Kennebrew said.

All four suspects were released to their parents. The 15-year-old girl will likely face charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon. It's unknown if the boys will face charges.

The dog was turned over to King County Animal Care and Control.

Animal Control said the dog’s owner signed a form allowed the dog to be euthanized after being quarantined for 10 days.

Kennebrew said he never agreed to that and that the dog is innocent. He wants Snaps to be released.
