Alleged Bandage-Wearing Bandit Surrenders

TACOMA, Wash. -- Police said a man seen on camera wearing a bandage on his face during a Tacoma bank robbery surrendered to police Wednesday.Kenneth M. Wolfe is scheduled for arraignment on charges of one count of first-degree robbery.Police said Wolfe is responsible for robbing two Tacoma banks in June and July.Police said on June 26, at 5:22 p.m. a man wearing a large bandage on his cheek entered the Timberland Bank branch located in the 7800 block of South Hosmer Street in the city of Tacoma and whispered to the teller that he was robbing the bank and to give him cash.The man took the money and fled the bank, driving away in a small black vehicle, police said. Detectives said the vehicle was identified as a black 2000 Ford Focus, with Washington license plate number 174-VZM.Wolfe is also suspected of robbing a Key Bank located on North 26th Street in Tacoma on July 6, police said.
