1 Critically Burned, 5 Others Hurt In Mason County Fire

SHELTON, Wash. -- A fire in a double-wide mobile home on the Skokomish Indian Reservation injured six people, one of them critically, early Thursday.The fire started at about 5 a.m. at U.S. Highway 101 north and Reservation Road near the Skokomish tribal casino.Mason County sheriff's deputies pulled a man from the burning home. Five of the victims were transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton for treatment of smoke inhalation and burns, police said.One victim, a 55-year-old woman, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She suffered burns over 70 percent of her body, officials said.Highway 101 was blocked in both directions and power lines were down in the area at the time of the fire.The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
