Seattle Police Officer Dragged 50 Feet By Vehicle

A Seattle police officer was dragged 50 feet by a car Saturday morning.

Police said that the officer had stopped a man in a car on a traffic stop just before 2 a.m. near First Avenue and Lenora St.

The officer had the vehicle pull into a parking lot at that location.

Police said that the officer got out of his car and walked toward the man's car which sped by and hit another patrol car.

The officer ran up and grabbed the driver, the but the driver suddenly reversed his car and dragged the officer approximately 50 before it hit another parked car.

Police said the man's car was able to flee the scene and is still at large.

The injured officer was taken to an area hospital and was treated and released.
