Police have blocked off a street near house where a man wanted on a federal warrant may be hiding.

Deputy Chief Brian Smith told KIRO 7 that Port Angeles police and U.S. marshals surrounded the house in the small city on the Olympic Peninsula on Saturday morning.

Smith said that the house's residents told police they thought someone had entered their garage.

Earlier, an officer had seen a man matching the wanted man's description in the area.

Smith said that the 37-year-old man is wanted for violation of a federal felony.
